With Amalia from Ceramica Studio and Denissa, during this 2 sessions you will learn how to make simple ceramic vessel and combining with basic crochet stitches, increase and decrease technique, and by the end you can go home with your personal woven ceramic vase! With this method, later the participants will be able to make their own ceramic vessel with crochet stitches as the accent.
In the first session with Amalia from Ceramica Studio you will learn and make a ceramic vessel using basic technique : pinch and coiling technique. Then for the final touch you will colour the vessel with clay slipcolor.
In the second session with Denissa you will learn and make basic crochet stitches, increase and decrease technique to be combined with your ceramic vessel.
After the sessions, participant will come home with piece(s) of ceramic x crochet vessel which will be new highlight of the room with varied function depends on its size and shape. From centerpiece, vase, jewellery display, to stationary holder. A piece where two opposing textures and materials meet as they're threaded. Let this crochet ceramic vessel be the highlight of your place with it’s shape and colors.
Our workshop will be taught at Niniveh Space Jakata, an Experimental Space limited to 7 people.
