Spring arrivals have finally arrived at Canaan Bali in time for Future Design Week. We recently experimented with Shibori tie-dye technique using bamboo cotton tees that were made in Jakarta. We sent the tees over to Tarum for colouring with natural dyes from plants and they turn out very eclectic! The Shibori tie-dye tees are available at both our stores in Bali and Jakarta.
We also collaborated with a design company based out of Surabaya called Cassia Studio and ordered a series of metal-based trays and containers in exclusive colours for Canaan. We picked out a deep red, dark navy and bright orange as our Spring palette. The collection also comes with a compact mirror that can be easily stored flat and re-adjust to stand on the tray when being used. They are perfect for keeping your stationary sleek, as a modern centrepiece or as multi-purpose trays for keys and daily essentials.
Some of other new arrivals this week are mini rattan totes from Warang Wayan designed by Yuri Tsuchiya, a Japanese designer living in Ubud. They come with soft leather handles in subtle colours making these rattan totes tres chic.
As part of Interwoven month at Unearth celebrating its first year anniversary we also introduced Haryo Soenggono’s handmade pottery at Canaan Bali together with Pot Cartel another ceramic studio that specialises in hand-pinching technique. We also debut Fbudi prequel collection at Canaan Bali last weekend as we are in the midst of preparing our second collection to be released by July.
All of our photos are shot on film on a Nikon Ti Camera at Canaan Bali.
