Ceramic Painting Workshop with Margaret Yap
Coming up on Saturday, 12th October 2019
at Niniveh Space, Jakarta
In this workshop participants will each be given a selection of different shaped carafe set bisques to be painted with ceramic colour pigments/stains and glaze. The carafe set or the jug set will include one 250ml jug and one 150ml cup, references are offered.
All the materials including colour pigment, paintbrushes, and apron will be provided by Margaret hence participants will just need to bring their excitement to class. This workshop will let the participants to paint in a new medium and get to know the character of bisque, a phase before it turns into ceramic.
The results cannot be brought home directly due to the firing process. Final result after firing will be dropped back to Niniveh in two weeks; participants can finally use them as a drinking vessel or give them as a personal gift.
Our workshop will be taught at Niniveh Space Jakata, an Experimental Space limited to 7 people.
