Unearth Christmas Market: December Presents

We can't believe it's almost a year since we opened our Jakarta pop up store. What meant to be an Easter Market has extended to become a semi-permanent store in Jakarta at the second level of One Fifteenth Cofee in South of Jakarta. As a sweet finish to the year we are hosting a Christmas Market titled December Presents from the 8th til the 9th of December. With over 15 vendors participating this will be a fun market showcasing a variety of products from homewares, clothings to sweet delicacies all within the Christmassy theme. What is special about this market is that most if not all of the vendors participating will be making something exclusive just for Unearth Christmas. We also have a gift wrapping workshop by Chia from C for Calligraphy and Dennis and his partner from Misu Paper, a bespoke recycled paper company that speciliazing in making paper from reusable materials. And on the Saturday Aldo and his friends will be playing an acoustic set at the Christmas market. Be sure to drop by with your friends and family and join in the Christmas spirit with all of us.

Press Meet and Greet at Canaan Hong Kong

For the first time ever, Canaan at Potato Head Hong Kong introduced itself to local press on Thursday, August 11th, with over ten media attending it was a full-force event also organised by Hong Kong and Shanghai-based Brand and PR Agency, Catch On. We launched our ceramic collection made by Gaya, our fragrance line and introduced retaW x Katamama Diffuser.

The unique collaboration between Gaya Ceramic based in Ubud and Canaan resulted in the range of tableware inspired by indigo and the textures of an antique ikat fabric. All ceramics are handmade by Gaya's dedicated artisans. The range including vases, cups and vessels available in both the ikat inspired texture and also in the indigo range.

Not only ceramics, we also launcehd our own Fragrance Line made in Bali by Republic of Soap . Our signatures scent blends the notes of Wild Fig, Fresh Tomato Leaf, Sandalwood and Vetiver Essential Oil. Canaan's fragrance range offered our very own reed diffuser,  wax candle, cold process soap and room fragrance spray.

Last but definitely not least, we are also introducing the retaW x Katamama Reed Diffuser. retaW is a renowned fragrance company based in Tokyo, founded by iconic designer and trendsetter Hiroshi Fujiwara. Together with Katamama they have commissioned one of Bali's artisan ceramic company Gaya, to create two signature bottles using a hand thrown technique that is now available in two colourway, blu and white.

We saw Cecilia from No7 attending, a lifestyle blogger focused on fashion and beauty with over 239,000 followers on Instagram! Cecilia came solo and took lots of photos for her instagram stories, we were very fortunate to have met her. We conducted a few interviews, one with a major Hong Kong based newspaper, very excited to share with all of you. Hong Kong is city with many layers as we’ve come to familiar ourselves and we have see great improvement in Canaan over the past three months and can’t wait for what the future holds. We have met and continually received emails from bloggers, social media influencers and designers enquiring to collaborate with us and we are so honoured to be part of this journey. Stay tuned.
